I'm not an overly religious person, so there were aspects of this book that I struggled with. Religion is something that is incredibly important to both families.
The story is told very simply, but I felt sorry that Laura's parents didn't seem to feel the same way as Lisa did when they found that Whitney was Laura (she didn't want Whitney to feel that they had abandoned her). So there seems to be parts that are missing from the story (maybe they were too personal to include.
It did make me think of the people that I have lost and how I can hope to see them again in heaven.
