Bod grew up in a graveyard, with ghosts for parents and a guardian to watch over him, because the man who made him an orphan is still looking for him.
This book follows Bod through his childhood, we meet Ghouls, Witches, Humans. Watch as he tries to go to a normal school, tries to make friends.
But Bod can't outrun his past and he doesn't want to, he faces the man that took his sister and his parents.
This book was beautifully written, I'm still a bit confused as to what the Jacks of All Trades were actually trying to achieve in wiping out Bod's entire family (what their brotherhood was really all about).
The ending was beautiful, I had a bit of a cry (I hate it when people say goodbye, especially when parents say goodbye to their children).
