This story is about loss and loneliness and yearning for human contact, to find connection and re-visit the past. It's a ghost story where a middle aged divorced man comes across a couple who look exactly like his parents - the problem is they died when he was 12. As he spends more time with them he begins to re-discover the enjoyment of spending time with others, of being a child again - of trying to re-gain the childhood that he lost.He also begins a relationship with the only other resident of his apartment building. As both relationships progress he begins to waste away.
Chapter 13 had me in tears, it was beautiful, a little boy desperately trying to hold onto his parents, hearing how proud they are of him.
