Blood Bound - Patricia Briggs While I was reading this something occurred to me. I like Vampires, I'm a Vampire Girl and I realised that's why I didn't really like the first book in this series Moon Called. Werewolves don't really interest me. It's something that only came to me today.

Because this book, is all about Vampires and it wasn't bad. Mercy as a character does get on my nerves a bit, she has guys throwing themselves at her but she wants to be a strong independent woman, why then does she keep running to the Marrok for help?

Stefan interests me, it's quite clear that he has feelings for Mercy, but she doesn't really get that until quite late in the book, and she's not sure how she feels about it. Stefan goes missing part of the way through the story, along with Adam and Samuel, while looking for a demon-riding vampire. The opening chapter of the book is rather unsettling when Stefan and Mercy confront this unknown quantity, a sorcerer-vampire with Demon attachment (I got a bit confused by it all to be honest). But I kept waiting for the story to go that extra step, after the first chapter Littleton is never that scary again.

So at the end of it all I'm left feeling a little bit disappointed. Do I really care which guy Mercy will end up with? Will it be Stefan the Vampire, Adam the Alpha, or Samuel who only wants her for her babymaking possibilities? I'm not sure I do - but I want to know what happens to Warren so maybe I will keep reading.
