Killing Floor - Lee Child The first Jack Reacher Novel.

6 months out of the Army and Jack Reacher finds himself in the deep south, in a small town called Margrave, trying to track down the legend of a blues guitar player - Blind Blake. Within a few hours of stepping off the bus he's been arrested for murder - something he couldn't possibly have done.

Margrave is a perfect little town, pristine, businesses are thriving which is strange because no-one actually seems to be using them. The town is supported by a local foundation. It's all a bit too good to be true, which means it is of course. There's just too much money....

It is a clever story, but it does go on and on. You don't know who to trust and it takes a while to actually uncover the scam at work, once it is uncovered it's all wrapped up rather quickly

My main problem with this book is the huge co-incidence it's based on. Jack just so happens to find himself in the same town as his brother, and to be accused of his murder no less.

My other problem is that it's probably 100 pages too long.
