Claimed By Shadow - Karen Chance These books just don't stop. They charge from one thing to another, never giving you a chance to catch your breath.

From the first page you just have to hang on tight and run with it!

Cassie's still after Tony and has found that he's hiding in Faery (with Myra). So her main objective this time around is to get into Faery, which won't be easy, as the only portal close by is in MAGIC headquarters.

This book had lots of nice touches. From the Gargoyles working in the kitchen at Dante's to a Zombie Elvis getting very excited over a bucket of Cow guts.

Cassie also has another problem, uncovered very early on in the story, a spell cast by Mircea that she inadvertently makes worse after meeting him in the past.

I was glad that Cassie finally completed the ritual to become Pythia, it was very nicely done with Tomas. Also glad that Myra met her end with a bit of help from Agnes.

I only had two problems with this book. First - the trip to Faery, after very nearly being raped she looses her cherry to Tomas. She went from one extreme to the other. The other problem - there wasn't enough Mircea for my liking. I was also sorry to loose Mac, that was a character with a lot of potential and no sooner had we met him he was dead.

Oh well, looking forward to [b:Embrace the Night|1233478|Embrace the Night (Cassandra Palmer, #3)|Karen Chance|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1311704390s/1233478.jpg|1222082]! What can Pritkin teach Cassie???
